Dry Skin Care Resources
Remove Warts and Moles and prevent them from
happening in the first place!

Dry skin loses moisture more rapidly than normal skin giving it a rough
and scaly look and making it feel tight on the body. Dry skin requires
a few precautions to be kept in mind before venturing out to minimize
aggravating the condition. Dry skin care encompasses several steps from
moisturizers to balanced diet and exercise to some special remedies.
Products with a regimen
There are a number of best skin care products available for people with
dry skin along with a complete set of guidelines to be followed for
maximum benefit. Moisturizers like petroleum jelly, creams and
glycerin, which are oil based, are highly beneficial though they may be
a bit greasy. Those with dry skin should preferably use baby soap
rather than any commercial soap.
Use warm water instead of hot or cold and pat dry with a soft towel. A
moisturizer like baby oil used immediately after you have a bath or
shower will work wonders for your skin and ensure that it remains
supple and glowing for a longer period of time.
Protect yourself from the elements by wearing sunscreen (SPF 15,
especially for dry skin) in summer and preferably avoiding exposure to
windy conditions in winter both of which are capable of doing great
harm.
General recommendations
• Excessively heated houses in winter and air conditioners in
summer can also aggravate skin dryness.
• Dry skin can also be caused due to a poor diet lacking in
vitamins or in some cases due to a genetic condition.
• Avoid highly alkaline and detergent based products but use
neutral-ph products preferably with an air excluding moisturizer.
• At night use a natural moisturizer like an almond oil or
olive oil based one. Apply it on the throat, cheeks and eyes, as these
spots are most susceptible to extreme dryness.
• A milk and oil bath will rejuvenate your skin totally; just
add 3 to 4 tablespoons of milk powder and a few drops of almond oil and
feel the difference.
• Use natural products like Aloe Vera jelly especially for
chapped lips and hands and feet.
Avoid alcohol and caffeine, do not smoke or stay up late at night.
Exercise, drink 2 quarts of water and eat a proper diet consisting of
vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts and dairy products.
